SS-31 (Szeto-Schiller peptide 31, D-Arg-dimethylTyr-Lys-Phe-NH₂) is a synthetic, cell-permeable tetrapeptide that selectively accumulates in the inner mitochondrial membrane. In mitochondrial research, it is used as a mitochondria-targeted antioxidant .
